Abstract
The present method includes casting a poured concrete liner in an existing manhole with a protective acid resistant plastic material covering the interior surface of the newly poured concrete liner. A plurality of arcuate form panels are assembled into a circular form spaced radially inwardly from the existing manhole wall so as to create an annular space therebetween. Plastic sheeting is then fitted around the outside of the form with protrusions extending outwardly from the plastic surface into the annular space. Concrete is poured into the annular space and surrounds the plastic protrusions to bind the plastic sheeting thereto. The forms are removed after curing of the concrete, thereby leaving the plastic liner on the inside wall of the newly poured concrete.
