Abstract
Disclosed herein is a composition useful for controlling algae comprising (A) a compound of the formula ##STR1## wherein X.sup.1, X.sup.2 are independently selected from hydrogen, halogen, trihalomethyl, cyano, and (C.sub.1 to C.sub.4) alkyl; Z is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, halogen, cyano, carboxy or salt thereof, alkylthio, carbalkoxy, carboxyalkyl, carbalkoxyalkyl, carbalkoxyalkoxycarbonyl, carbalkoxyalkoxy, alkoxy, cycloalkoxy, alkenyl, alkyl, cycloalkyl, unsubstituted or substituted amino, R.sup.2 O in which R.sup.2 represents a hydrogen atom or the esterbonded acid radical of an inorganic or organic oxyacid and acyloxy; p is an integer from 1 to 2n+1; m is an integer of 0 to 2n; n is an integer of 1 to 5; m+p=2n+1 and (B) a 3-isothiazolone.
