Abstract
A permitted water-bearing explosive composition of the watergel or emulsion type contains a suitable amount, e.g. 0.5% by weight of the composition, of a non-passivated paint flake aluminum having a surface area of 5000 cm.sup.2 /g or greater and a suitable amount of one or more alkali or alkaline earth metal or ammonium halides, perferably potassium chloride.
