A plasticizer for chloroprene rubber represented by the following general formula (I): R.sub.1 (O--R).sub.m S(R--O).sub.n R.sub.2 (I) wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 independently represent each a saturated or unsaturated aliphatic monoacyl group having 4 to 24 carbon atoms; R represents an alkylene group having two to four carbon atoms; and m and n represent each an integer of 1 to 4: is disclosed.
