Abstract
The present invention relates to the aluminum hydroxide having a specific surface area of at least 350 m.sup.2, preferably at least 400 m.sup.2, per g. and to a process for its preparation. The aluminum hydroxide should be capable of absorbing at least 1 g of fat per g. of material. The aluminum hydroxide is preferably part of a pharmaceutical preparation.
