Abstract
A shampoo composition is disclosed comprising a shampoo base containing: (A) 0.1 to 5 wt. % of a phosphate ester surfactant of general formula (1): ##STR1## wherein A represents ##STR2## in which R represents a straight-chain or branched-chain, saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbyl group, R.sub.1 represents a hydrogen or methyl group, m represents a number of 0 to 6, n represents a number of 1 to 6, B represents --OX.sub.2 or A, X.sub.1 and X.sub.2 each represent hydrogen, alkali metal, alkyl(C.sub.1 -C.sub.3) -substituted ammonium, hydroxyalkyl(C.sub.1 -C.sub.3) group-containing alkanolamine or basic amino acid, and (B) 0.01 to 5 wt. % of a silicon derivative.
