Abstract
A herbicidal composition containing as an active ingredient a compound of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.0 represents a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group, and R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 each represent a hydrogen or halogen atom, or a lower alkyl, lower alkoxy or lower alkenyloxy group, which is especially useful for application to aquatic rice paddies, and novel compounds of formula (I) wherein R.sub.0, R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 have the same meanings as defined above, provided that R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 do not represent hydrogen atom at the same time.
