Abstract
The invention relates to a wet-on-wet dyeing process comprising (A) impregnating the substrate with an acid dyeing liquor containing an anionic dye having a K'.sub.pH6 -value.gtoreq.5 (B) applying locally to the substrate at room temperature, a liquor or paste containing an alkoxylated fatty amine or polyamine having affinity for anionic dyes with a K'.sub.pH6 -value.gtoreq.5, said step (B) being carried out directly after or directly before said step (A), and (C) subsequently submitting the substrate to a heat treatment to effect fixation of the dye.
