A PPDU-based communication method and an apparatus are disclosed One example method includes: A transmit end generates a PPDU based on a mapping relationship between a data symbol and a chip sequence, and sends the PPDU; and correspondingly, a receive end receives the PPDU, and then processes the PPDU based on the mapping relationship, where a minimum Hamming distance is greater than or equal to L/2.
