Various aspects of this disclosure relate to a system for use in transferring electronic currency between external funding sources and, for example, a casino to fund wager gaming and to cash out or otherwise transfer winnings or certain types of unused credit, while, in some in some embodiments, restricting the transfer of certain types of credit, such as for example, loan credit provided by the casino or one or more other entities or activities. Various aspects of this disclosure relate to an electronic wallet that provides access to one or more external and/or internal funding sources such as one or more deposit accounts and/or credit accounts; and the electronic wallet is configurable to fund wager gaming or the procurement of other products or services. Such funding is optionally provided to a certain environments, like a casino for example, through a closed system in communication with one or more wager-game providing systems and/or one or more other product or service providing systems.
