Abstract
A device including a mouthpiece and an opening in fluid communication with the mouthpiece, wherein the device is configured to allow a user to breathe through the mouthpiece by drawing air in through the opening and expelling air out through the opening. The device further includes breathing guidance means configured to encourage compliance with a predetermined breathing regimen; and an air modifier. The air modifier includes any of: an air ionizer configured to ionize air drawn in through the opening; an aerosol generator for generating an aerosol for entrainment in air drawn in through the opening; a heater to heat air drawn in through the opening; or means to cool air drawn in through the opening.
