Abstract

A control circuit for an active-rotational-speed-sensor (A-RSS) of a vehicle for detecting a rotational speed of a wheel and to output a sensor signal based thereon. The control circuit includes a monitoring circuit having: first and second terminals for electrically connecting the RSS and for receiving the sensor signal, and a supply terminal for connecting to a supply-voltage and a ground-terminal (GT) for connecting to a ground; a sensor signal output for providing the sensor signal from the A-RSS; a first switch to switch the first terminal to the supply terminal and a second switch to switch the second terminal to the GT; an overcurrent detector to detect an overcurrent through the supply terminal or the GT and to open the first or second switch upon detection; and a voltage controller to effect adjustment of an electrical voltage between the first terminal and the GT to a target value.
