Abstract
Disclosed herein is a brake apparatus including a first hydraulic pressure supplier connected to a wheel cylinder of a vehicle, a second hydraulic pressure supplier connected to the wheel cylinder, a first controller configured to control the first hydraulic pressure supplier to provide a first hydraulic pressure to the wheel cylinder, and a second controller configured to control the second hydraulic pressure supplier to provide a second hydraulic pressure to the wheel cylinder, wherein the first controller is configured to connect to a first power source of the vehicle and a first pedal sensor of the vehicle, and the second controller is configured to connect to a second power source of the vehicle, the first pedal sensor, and a second pedal sensor of the vehicle and includes a power source monitoring unit configured to monitor whether a current is supplied from the first controller to the first pedal sensor.
