This invention relates to compositions comprising heparin-like oligosaccharides with defined structures that are covalently connected together at a precise distance from each other by flexible linkers, and to the method for the manufacture of said oligosaccharides. Particularly this invention relates to the design and the method of manufacturing of ‘spaced-heparinoids’ of Formulas 1 and 2, wherein S1, S2, S3, S4, and S5 independently comprise mono- or oligosaccharides sequences connected by length-adjustable linkers, L1, L2, and L3.
