Abstract
Communication with more reliable functional safety is disclosed. In one example, a communication device includes a packet generation unit configured to generate a packet having a packet structure in which a Mobile Industry Processor Interface (MIPI) standard is incorporated in a frame defined by Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) 1722 that is a communication standard via a network, and a timer configured to acquire a time stamp stored in a packet header of the packet. The technology can be applied to, for example, a communication system connected with an in-vehicle camera.
