Abstract
The invention discloses a C-based single domain antibody that neutralizes respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and its application thereof. The C-based single domain antibody of the present invention is a neutralizing antibody against RSV F protein, can inhibit the viral entry into host cells, and can be used for the prevention, treatment and diagnosis of RSV, as well as for further studying the mechanism of RSV infection. The C-based single domain antibody has a smaller molecular weight, better tissue permeability and the ability to bind to antigenic epitope with steric hindrance effect; it can be expressed in multiple expression systems, including prokaryotic, yeast, and mammalian cells. The C-based single domain antibody has a low production cost and a short production cycle; it has a wide range of administration routes and can be administered through nasal drops, nasal spray, spray, aerosol inhalation, intramuscular injection, intravenous injection, subcutaneous injection, etc.
