An anode for a lithium secondary battery, including: a cladding material obtained by bonding an anode active material layer and a current collector layer to each other, in which the anode active material layer contains aluminum, the current collector layer is made of a metal foil, and the anode active material layer satisfies (1) and (2) in which (1): an average voltage of a lithium alloying reaction in the anode active material layer measured using lithium metal as a counter electrode of the anode active material layer is 0.05 V or more, and (2): the average voltage of the lithium alloying reaction in the anode active material layer measured using lithium metal as the counter electrode of the anode active material layer is higher than an average voltage of a lithium alloying reaction in the current collector layer, and a difference in the average voltage of the lithium alloying reaction between the anode active material layer and the current collector layer is 0.05 V or more and 0.5 V or less.
