A milling tool includes a cutting portion that extends along a longitudinal axis thereof from a front end thereof towards a shank portion. The cutting portion has a plurality of teeth and a corresponding number of flutes extending axially therealong. Each tooth has a land and a rake face at least partly formed by a surface of the flute. A main cutting edge is formed at the intersection between the land and the rake face formed by the flute surface. A chip dividing groove is formed in the land and intersects the main cutting edge and includes a leading corner and a trailing corner and a groove edge delimiting the chip dividing groove from the rake face. The groove edge has a leading edge extending from the leading corner to a root of the chip dividing groove and a trailing edge extending from the root to the trailing corner.
