Abstract
A communication method includes determining a ranging signal, sending an nth fragment of N fragments of the ranging signal in a first time unit, and sending an (n+1)th fragment in a second time unit. The first time unit is one of M time units included in an nth time period, and the second time unit is one of M time units included in an (n+1)th time period, where there is a preset interval between the nth time period and the (n+1)th time period, n is an integer greater than 0 and less than N, and both N and M are integers greater than 1.
