Abstract
An optical sub-assembly with OTDR filter includes a plug-in unit and a sending/receiving unit. The sending/receiving unit includes a main body surrounding an axis, an upstream transmitter, an isolator, a first filter, a second filter and a downstream receiver. The plug-in unit includes a housing, a fiber stub, a sleeve, a stopper and an OTDR filter. The OTDR optical reflector (OTDR filter) is installed inside the optical sub-assembly, it saves space and costs by omitting the conventional FBG and can achieve the same effect as reflecting the OTDR monitoring light.
