Abstract
An eyewear assembly comprises: (1) an frame a left temple and a right temple, the frame comprising an outer lens loop support portion adjacent the left temple, the outer lens loop support defining a latching mechanism receiving recess; (2) a lens assembly comprising a lens and an outer lens loop defining a latching mechanism receiving cutaway, the latching mechanism receiving cutaway having a geometric profile that at least partially corresponds to a geometric profile of the latching mechanism receiving recess; and (3) a lens assembly latching mechanism rotatably coupled to the frame adjacent the left temple. In some embodiments, the lens assembly latching mechanism comprises: (1) a latching mechanism body; and (2) a latching mechanism protrusion that extends from the latching mechanism body, the matching mechanism protrusion having a geometric profile that at least partially corresponds to the geometric profile of the latching mechanism receiving cutaway.
