Disclosed is a method by a network function service consumer, NFc, including determining whether a request for a service operation to be provided by a network function service producer, NFp, needs to be routed via a security edge protection proxy, SEPP. In this case, information is identified that is used by a consumer public land mobile network, cPLMN, to perform selection or reselection of an NFp to provide the service operation. Based on this information, a producer security edge protection proxy, pSEPP, or a service communication proxy, SCP, can select or reselect an according NFp.
