An example atomic tweezer clock can include a laser system, a holographic metasurface, a vacuum system, and a cold atoms source, wherein the holographic metasurface generates an optical tweezer array, and the atoms are trapped by the optical tweezer array in the vacuum system for generating an atomic tweezer clock. In certain embodiments, the laser system is integrated with frequency combs in chip-scale to ensure compactness and robustness.
