Abstract
System and process are provided for producing and obtaining valuable products that are derived from microbial fermentation of C1-containing gaseous substrate process. More specifically, the disclosure provides schemes for the integration of a fermentation process with electrolysis process and C1-containing gaseous substrate generating process while achieving reduced carbon dioxide emission. The amount of carbon dioxide subject to the electrolysis process is based on the balance of raw material consumption of the microbial fermentation process.
