Abstract
An optical device and an optical method for measuring dose absorbed by a radiochromic material, the method including successively submitting the radiochromic material to a first electromagnetic measurement emission at a first wavelength and to a second electromagnetic measurement emission at a second wavelength, and measuring first and second measurement signals corresponding to the parts of the first and second electromagnetic measurement emissions not absorbed by the radiochromic material, respectively. The measured absorbed-dose value is determined, in the case where the first or second measurement signal corresponds to an absorption higher than a given threshold, on the basis of the second signal and, in the contrary case, on the basis of the first signal.
