Abstract
Artificial skylight (1000) comprising an elongated light source (1) accommodated in an elongated light box (5) comprising a base wall (7) and a light exit window (9) mutually connected by a circumferential side wall (11). The light source issues light source light (17) into the cavity of the elongated light box, said light source light subsequently is issued from the cavity through the light exit window as light box light (19), 5 which comprises a portion of directed, collimated light (19a) and a portion of diffused light (19b). The collimated light has a beam angle α in a transverse direction T, wherein α is only determined by the mutual positions of the light source and a first (15a) and a second baffle (15b) comprised in the artificial skylight. Said first baffle is arranged closer to the light source than said second baffle, and the light source is offset in the transverse direction such to 0 screen it from a direct view.
