Abstract
A show effect system of an amusement park may include a sensor transmitting guest data, a display projecting virtual imagery, and a mirror deflecting the virtual imagery. The show effect system may also include an actuator coupled to the display and/or the mirror and a beam splitter with a partially transmissive and partially reflective viewing surface positioned between the viewing area and the mirror. The beam splitter may reflect light from the viewing area as reflected imagery back to the viewing area and enable transmission of the virtual imagery deflected off the mirror through the beam splitter to the viewing area as transmitted imagery. The show effect system may also include a controller communicatively coupled to the sensor, the actuator, and the display. The controller may instruct the actuator to adjust a position and/or orientation of the display, the mirror, or both based on the guest data.
