The present disclosure relates to a method of producing a positive electrode active material, the method comprising: a preparation step that involves preparing aggregate particles including a nickel-cobalt-manganese-based compound having a ratio of nickel of 75 mol % or more; a first treatment step that involves treating a surface of the aggregate particles with a fluorine-based compound at a temperature of 80° C. or more; and a second treatment step that involves treating the surface of the aggregate particles after the first treatment step, with at least one selected from the group consisting of a lithium-containing metal oxide and lithium borate. The present disclosure makes it possible to provide a positive electrode active material capable of reducing degradation of storage properties, a method of producing the same, as well as a positive electrode plate and a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery including the same.
