Abstract
An evaporative cooling system includes an inlet, an outlet, a cooling module and a fan. The inlet is for accepting hot air and the outlet is for expressing air that has a temperature that is lower than the hot air. The cooling module is positioned in the vicinity of the inlet and incorporates a substantially vertical evaporative media and a spray nozzle positioned at a bottom end of the evaporative media. The spray nozzle sprays water upwardly and air flow from the fan causes the water from the spray nozzle to wet the evaporative media.
