Abstract
A centrifuge includes a rotatably mounted drum, a drive motor, a drum shell made of metal and a vertical axis of rotation. The drum has a feed tube, a paring chamber with a paring disk for leading away clarified or separated liquid, and a solids discharge. The drum has, above the paring chamber, at least two sealing chambers, which lie one axially above the other and which each have a sealing disk protruding into the respective sealing chamber. The centrifuge includes at least one supply channel for supplying a sealing medium to one of the sealing chambers or includes, for each sealing chamber, at least one supply channel for supplying a sealing medium to the respective sealing chamber.
