Abstract
A surgical assistance system, method for displaying a recording, a storage medium, and a sterile space. The surgical assistance system includes a display device; an endoscope with a distal imaging recording head adapted to create an intracorporeal recording of the patient; a data-providing unit adapted to provide digital 3D recording data of the patient; and a control unit adapted to process the intracorporeal recording and the 3D recording data. The intracorporeal recordings are registered with the 3D recording data initially via corresponding anatomical landmarks and/or orientations. A tracking system continuously detects a position and/or a movement and/or an orientation of the endoscope and generates a correlation display having a display of the intracorporeal recording and a display of a view of the 3D recording data, in which the intracorporeal recording and the view of the 3D recording data with respect to the endoscope are correlated with one another.
