Abstract
The present disclosure relates to a transmission device, a transmission method, and a reception device capable of recognizing simultaneous broadcasting more reliably. Provided is a transmission device including: a generation unit that generates a broadcast stream including a broadcast component constituting content and signaling information regarding the broadcast component; and a transmission unit that transmits the broadcast stream, in which the signaling information includes a descriptor in which a service identifier or location information for identifying simultaneous broadcasting content corresponding to the content is arranged. The present disclosure can be applied to, for example, a transmission system corresponding to a broadcasting system of terrestrial digital television broadcasting.
