Abstract

Methods, systems, and devices for sensory transformation are described. In accordance with the techniques described herein, a reflecting component (such as a mirror) may be appended to the front of a latex membrane, and a laser may be positioned such that a beam of the laser reflects off the reflecting component and onto an opaque surface (such as a canvas or screen). An exciter component may output an audio waveform associated with a user-selected audio sample. The audio waveform may cause the latex membrane and the reflecting component to oscillate. The oscillatory movement of the reflecting component may cause the reflected beam to fluctuate on the opaque surface. Images of the path (i.e., motion) of the reflected beam on the opaque surface may be captured, stored, and converted into data files. The data files may be used to generate tangible objects associated with the user-selected audio sample.
