Abstract
A press cover is provided for a press roll, in particular for a press roll of a shoe press for dewatering a web of fibrous material, in particular a paper, cardboard, tissue or pulp web, or for a conveyor belt, in particular for a machine for producing or treating a web of fibrous material, in particular a paper, cardboard or tissue producing machine. The press cover or conveyor belt includes at least one polyurethane-containing layer. The polyurethane is formed by reacting a prepolymer and a crosslinker component. The prepolymer is a reaction product of phenylene 1,4-diisocyanate (PPDI) and of a polyol component containing at least one polyether polyol and/or at least one polycarbonate polyol. The crosslinker component contains a C6-14 diol. A shoe press for dewatering of a fibrous material web and a machine for production or treatment of a fibrous material web, are also provided.
