Abstract
A vibration-type drive apparatus includes a vibration-type actuator and a control apparatus. The vibration-type actuator includes a vibration member including an elastic member and a piezoelectric element bonded together, and a contact member in contact with the elastic member. The control apparatus includes a drive unit including a transformer for converting an input signal into an alternating current voltage to be applied to the piezoelectric element, and a control unit for controlling frequency, phase, and voltage of the input signal. The relationship 0.79≤f1/fu≤1.21 is satisfied, where f1 is a frequency at which a current in a primary side of the transformer becomes minimum, and fu is a resonance frequency of unwanted vibration.
