Compositions selected from detergents and cleaning agents and cosmetic agents are described. The compositions include biodegradable microcapsules including a core material and a shell. The shell includes at least one barrier layer and one stability layer. The barrier layer surrounds the core material. The stability layer includes at least one biopolymer, and is arranged on the outer surface of the barrier layer. An emulsion stabilizer is arranged at the transition between the barrier layer and the stability layer. Use of these agents is also described.
