A process for rehabilitating hydrogen lines or converting a line to the transport of hydrogen and a use of a liner for rehabilitating hydrogen lines or for converting a line to the transport of hydrogen. The liner includes at least one fibrous layer impregnated with a resin system. The liner includes a hydrogen barrier layer including at least one material selected from the group consisting of a polymer, metal, oxide, nitride, carbide, graphene, and a mixture thereof.
