In one aspect, the disclosure relates to drug delivery devices for the ionophoretic delivery of a therapeutic agent(s) to the eye. In some aspects, the disclosed ionophoretic ocular delivery device is configured for delivery of a therapeutic agent to the anterior portion of the eye. In various aspects, the present disclosure provides methods for treatment of an ophthalmological disorder, disease, or clinical condition by delivering a therapeutic agent(s) to the eye using a disclosed ionophoretic ocular delivery device.
