Abstract
Techniques and system for an electronic healthcare system on a blockchain that enables users to store electronic records on the blockchain without exposing personal identifiable information. The system generates a distinct identifier associated with a user and stores an entry to a blockchain node without including PII, the entry including the distinct identifier that replaces the PII. The system verifies that a software agent is authorized to access the PII associated with the user and causes the software agent to process an electronic record using the PII.
