A fixed wireless access device (FWA) comprises a mobile terminal, a Wi-Fi® device; and a processor. The processor is configured to: determine a next active period, for the mobile terminal, within a Discontinuous Reception (DRX) cycle of the mobile terminal; and synchronize an interval of time, for transmission or reception of data at the Wi-Fi® device, to the next active period.
