Abstract
The present technology relates to an information processing apparatus and an information processing method that make it possible to use applause of each audience member at a concert or the like. Communication is performed with a second apparatus that can control multiple recording apparatuses simultaneously, control is performed by the second apparatus, recording is performed in synchronization with the multiple recording apparatuses, and positional information regarding a position where recorded sound data has been recorded, and time information regarding a time when the sound data has been recorded are added to the sound data. The present technology can be mounted on pen lights that are used by an audience at a concert or the like.
