Abstract
The invention relates to an ultrasound system, in particular for cardiac monitoring, comprising a transducer array with a plurality of transducer array elements for providing ultrasound waves; a control unit, which is coupled to the transducer array, for controlling the transducer array, a data processing unit for receiving data from the transducer array and processing the received data, wherein the system further comprises at least one reference module configured for obtaining reference ultrasound data, at least one volume reconstruction module configured for reconstructing the volume of a target organ or part of a target organ, at least one selected monitoring unit configured for monitoring the volume of the target organ and/or part of the target organ. The invention further relates to a method for ultrasound imaging of a body part of a subject.
