The first cross bar (2) is arranged at a first end of the basic body (1) and runs at a right angle to the basic body (1). The first cross bar (2) projects over the basic body (1) on at least one side, wherein that side of the first cross bar (2) which faces away from the basic body (1) forms the first stop surface (20). This marking-out aid is suitable in particular for the installation of finger protection roller screens and finger protection strip covers of doors.
