A method of operating an air purifier in a room includes determining a volume of the room, determining a releasing speed of a pollutant in the room based on the volume of the room, obtaining a target concentration of the pollutant in the room, and determining a wind speed to operate the air purifier based on the releasing speed and the target concentration of the pollutant.
