Abstract
A braking system for a vehicle includes brake rigging and a service and/or parking brake designed to act on at least one braking member of the rail vehicle via the brake rigging. At least one device has at least one lining support and at least one lining that is mechanically attached to the at least one lining support. The brake rigging is provided with at least one lever extending from the service and/or parking brake to the device. The at least one lever is mechanically attached to the at least one lining support in an attachment zone of the lining support which lies opposite the at least one lining and which is located no more than 35 mm from a transverse central axis of the device.
