A ladder support apparatus provides support and stability to a ladder. The ladder support apparatus includes a bracket, a friction-reducing segment, and a friction-inducing segment. The bracket is configured to be secured to a leg of the ladder. The friction-inducing segment is secured to the bracket and configured to interface with an underlying surface when the ladder support apparatus is in a default orientation relative to the underlying surface.
