Abstract
A rubber composition based at least on natural rubber, on a copolymer of ethylene and of a 1,3-diene, on a carbon black and on a crosslinking system is provided. The carbon black content ranges from 20 phr to 40 phr, the volume fraction of carbon black ranges from 8% to 15%, the copolymer content ranges from 20 phr to less than 50 phr, the natural rubber content is greater than 50 phr, and the copolymer contains more than 50 mol % of ethylene. Such a composition exhibits an improved compromise between the properties of cohesion, stiffness, hysteresis and resistance to ozone. Such a composition is preferentially used in a tire sidewall.
