The invention relates to a silencer for a portable firearm, in particular a pistol, wherein the end portion of the silencer facing the gun barrel of the portable firearm is suitable for fastening to the breechblock of the portable firearm such that the silencer can be moved independently of the gun barrel together with the breechblock.
