Abstract
A compressor (1) has a cast compressor casing (2) with an inlet port (3) oriented in an axial direction (AR), an intake chamber (4) with an impeller, a volute (5) and a pressure port (6) connected consecutively. The volute (5) orbits the intake chamber (4) and the pressure port (6) extends tangentially outwards from the volute (5). In the compressor casing (2), an air recirculation duct (7) has a suction-side duct (12) and pressure-side duct (13), which is connected to the inlet port (3) at a pressure connection point (13a) downstream of the impeller and downstream of a tongue formed by the volute (5) on an outer wall of the pressure connection (6) facing the volute. The suction-side duct (12) is connected to the inlet port (3) at a suction connection point (12a) upstream of the impeller.
