A utility bit for training, riding, and restraining a horse. The utility bit comprises a two side shanks, and a mouthpiece. The two side shanks comprise a first side shank and a second side shank. each of the two side shanks comprise a purchase bar, a bottom shank and a leverage bar. The purchase bar comprise the bottom shank attached at A first end and the leverage bar at a second end. The bottom shank comprises a leverage ring. The leverage bar comprises a bottom ring. The first side shank and the second side shank rotate about a first shank axis and a second shank axis. The mouthpiece comprises a central portion of the utility bit between the two side shanks. The mouthpiece comprises a port, an offset, a lower port bars, and a two purchase channel bars.
